Love action (I believe in love) reached its peak position of number 3 in its third week in the top 40, and second in the top 10, thirty years ago this week. It dropped to number 6 the following week, although it was at number 3 again the week after. Two more weeks in the top 10 followed, then four more lower down the top 40, before the song left the chart.

Released on the Virgin record label, Love action (I believe in love) was the Human League's first top 10 hit. It was the second of four tracks taken from the band's triple platinum-selling album Dare, which spent four weeks at the top of the UK album chart later in 1981.
